Billy Joel continues to make history with his ongoing Madison Square Garden residency -- which is now heading on to its sixth year. Newsday reported the "Piano Man" has just added a January 24th Garden date, which will mark his 60th appearance at the legendary "Big Apple" venue as part of the residency, as well as his 106th career gig at MSG. Pre-sale tickets are available for Citi cardholders through the Citi Private Pass program starting at 10 a.m. on October 22nd. Tickets for the general onsale go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on October 26th through Ticketmaster.

Billy Joel admitted that his onstage persona is actually part showman -- and part showbiz tortoise shell: "I can’t go onstage and start thinking too much about how absurd this all is. I know who I am; I’m this guy from Levittown. And one night I actually started thinking about this: ‘What are they all yelling about? Don’t they know, I’m just this little schnook?’ And if you start thinking like that, I think people in the audience can sense (it) -- and they’ll eat you alive."
