As expected, Billy Joel's Detroit fans are going to have to wait a bit longer until the "Piano Man" hits town. Billy has just announced he's postponing his July 10th stadium show at the Comerica Park, which has now been pushed until July 9th, 2021 -- marking the last of Billy Joel's 2020 dates to be rescheduled for later this year or 2021.

A message was posted on BillyJoel.com, which read: "Tickets purchased for the 2020 concert will be honored on the rescheduled date. Tigers.com will contact via email all who purchased tickets with refund options for those unable to attend next year. They will have 30 days to respond. Due to Governor Whitmer's 'Stay Home, Stay Safe' Executive Order, the Comerica Park box office is closed. For guests who purchased tickets with cash at the box office, refunds will be available within 30 days after Governor Whitmer lifts the order."

Billy Joel admits that there's an element of absurdity in performing for tens of thousands of people as a way to make your living: "It's my job, that's what I do. When I go home, I mean, I take that hat off. Hey -- it helps to get in a restaurant; I'll give you that. Y'know, I can always get a table. I think it's funny. I haven't lost sight of the fact that it is, kinda, really silly. It's a silly job. It's the best job I've ever had."
