Billy Joel has just added two new shows to his 2020 itinerary. New dates now on the books are set for February 20th at Tampa, Florida's Amelie Arena and June 20th at Notre Dame, Indiana's Notre Dame Stadium. Fans are still waiting for the "Piano Man" to reveal the venue for his "New Year's Eve" concert, which usually takes place in Florida. Billy next performs on October 25th at New York's Madison Square Garden.

It was 36 years ago this past summer, on August 9th, 1983, An Innocent Man, Billy Joel's ninth studio album, was released. The set peaked at Number Four on the Billboard 200 albums chart and spent 29 weeks in the Top 10. Among the massive hits featured on the album was the Top Three instant classic "Uptown Girl" -- which has earned its spot as one of Billy's nightly encores: "It's written kind of tongue-in-cheek. It was written as an homage to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons who wrote a song called 'Rag Doll'; that was the reverse. That was about a girl who was from the wrong side of the tracks and he was from a rich family -- so I kind of flipped it around and I made it -- 'I'm the downtown guy and she's the uptown girl.' And it's kind of a. . . I don't wanna say a joke, but it's an homage to that kind of writing. The words are kind of silly: 'When my ship comes in, then I'll win.' It's not the greatest lyric ever -- but it was written as a fun thing."
