Beach Boys genius Brian Wilson wants fans to know, he's healthy and ready to hit the road next week with his solo band. Last month, on the eve of launching a string of North American dates, Wilson postponed his dozen-show spring run, citing mental health issues. His official website (BrianWilson.com) posted a few photos of him reading fan mail with a message reading, "Thank you to everyone for your cards and best wishes. Your concern and love just blows me away. I'm feeling much better and I look forward to seeing you when we start up our tour on August 7th!"

Wilson kicks off his summer dates on August 7th at Lewiston, New York's Artpark Mainstage Theater. His "Something Great From '68" summer tour with the Zombies launches on August 31st in Las Vegas at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Although Brian Wilson has been actively touring as a solo performer over the past 20 years and has played the world's biggest stages, he admitted to us that he still battles crippling stage fright before each and every show: "The first stage, y'know, I call the 'scare segment.' The next one is, 'recuperate from scared,' I'm a little depressed. The next one is anxiety, y'know? And finally the release of anxiety when we first (punches the table), when I first go to the concert, my anxiety goes, 'whish' -- out of my head! It goes right out of my head."
