Bryan Adams has just announced seven U.S. dates for May. Adams, who's currently on tour in Europe, will be on the road in support of his new album, Shine A Light, which will be released next Friday, March 1st.

Despite all the success and accolades Bryan Adams has received over the years, he told us he still takes pride in being a working musician: “My schedule — sort of today — after all the work I've done is still pretty busy. We go out 10 days a month on tour. I'm basically somewhere. You can always see me somewhere in the world some month if you got a plane ticket. The way I like to work now is like basically 10 days a month. And y'know, that suits me because it's enough time on tour to make it fun and interesting, and it's enough time at home that I want to get back on the road again.”

Bryan Adams told us that when performing live, he likes to maintain an intimate connection with his audience, even at larger venues: “I like to make people feel like there isn't a great big wall between us. That really it's just music and we're all having a good time. We've come this great distance to go and sit in this place together. Let's enjoy ourselves. Y'know, many times I've gone to shows and there's always a distance between the artist and the audience. I try to bridge that gap as best I can.”

Bryan Adams will next perform on February 25th in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
