This one's a bit unexpected — Carly Simon has written a book about her friend, and former First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Billboard reported publishers Farrar, Straus and Giroux announced that the singer-songwriter best known for such classics as “You're So Vain,” “Anticipation,” and “Coming Around Again,” has produced an “intimate, vulnerable” memoir on Onassis, who became a “protective mother figure” to a “mischievous pal.” The book, titled, Touched By The Sun, is set for publication on October 22nd.

Onassis, who died in 1994, befriended Simon years before on Martha's Vineyard, where the pair began an “improbable, but lasting friendship.” Simon published her autobiography, Boys In Trees – A Memoir, in 2015.
