In light of how well they're doing with the online fan vote, Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott can't help but get excited by the band's long-overdue nomination. In addition to Leppard, the 2019 nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Todd Rundgren, Janet Jackson, Devo, John Prine, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, Radiohead, MC5, Rage Against The Machine, Roxy Music, Rufus & Chaka Khan, and the Zombies. The final list will be rolled out in December.

Joe Elliott told us that despite being passed over for the Rock Hall for 14 straight years -- as of now -- the fan vote action has gotten him feeling as though Leppard might finally see induction: "It's well documented how it's not going to change my life one way or the other; well, Jon Bon Jovi has been telling me for at least 12 months 'Yes it will (laughs).' And the fan vote thing is the thing that's kind of swung our attention into a much more positive situation, y'know? 'Cause people keep sending us snapshots if they're at the museum: 'Check out the fan vote' -- and there's our name at the top."
