Foo Fighters lead the lineup of artists who will pay tribute to Aerosmith as the latter band are named as the recipients of the 2020 MusiCares Person Of The Year award. The Boston legends are being honored for their "considerable philanthropic efforts over five decades and undeniable impact on American music history," according to a statement.

The MusiCares event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 24th and joining the Foos to pay tribute to Aerosmith will be artists such as Alice Cooper, Gary Clarke Jr, John Mayer, John Legend, H.E.R., Emily King, Jonas Brothers and Yola.

The artists will perform a selection of Aerosmith's best-loved songs and will be led by musical director Greg Phillinganes.

Foo Fighters are currently working on their 10th studio album. The follow-up to 2017's Concrete And Gold is expected out sometime in 2020. In the meantime, fans can check out a continually expanding collection of newly digitalized B-sides, demos and live recordings that the band has released over the course of the past year.
