Goo Goo Dolls and Train will join forces this summer for a 45-date jaunt criss-crossing North American on a shed tour featuring special guest Allen Stone. The trek kicks off on June 7th in Auburn, Washington at White River Amphitheatre and runs through August 17th at Mansfield, Massachusetts' Xfinity Center. Train has just released its first career-spanning compilation -- Greatest Hits -- featuring a new rendition of George Michael's 1984 classic "Careless Whisper" featuring Kenny G.

In July, Goo Goo Dolls released a 10-track live album called The Audience Is This Way. Mainly recorded on their most recent tour, the set includes such favorites as "Iris," "So Alive," and "Slide," as well as never-before released live concert recordings.

Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac told us that life within the band these days is essentially pressure-free: "We understand each other, y'know? We know. . . We know what the, the end game is here. For us, it's very ambiguous, but we know what it is. It's like, when we're not relevant anymore -- to us, then it's time to move on, y'know? We don't worry about critics. We don't worry about any of that stuff, we've sort of moved past that. We're not about making critics happy anymore. Y'know, we're about making us happy. And if we can make us happy then we can go out and we can do this." :
