John Fogerty closed out the year on Tuesday night (December 31st) in Thackerville, Oklahoma at WinStar World Casino & Resort. We caught up with the Creedence Clearwater Revival founder and pressed him on his upcoming studio set due out this year. Fogerty recently received raves for his latest live collection, 50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks.

Fogerty spoke about the new album, which will mark his first new collection of all original material since 2007's Revival: "I'm very much working on new songs and trying hard to find the right musicians that really do what I'm trying to do. It's always a process. But as Ernest Hemingway -- at one point he said, 'Sooner or later, somebody has to get around to the writing!' (Laughs) It is the truth. Finally I have to sit down and start writing. Y'know, I'm getting very antsy about not having done it this year, but -- how can I say it -- I'm not quite at the urgency I had in 1969, but it's certainly some percentage of that."

John Fogerty has just rolled out his first new shows for 2020. New dates on the books are February 21st at Sarasota, Florida's Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall followed by February 23rd in Saint Augustine, Florida at Saint Augustine Ampitheater.
