Motley Crue's companion LP to the band's new Netflix biopic, The Dirt, entered the Billboard 200 album chart at Number 10 with 30,000 units sold, 15,000 of which were physical copies. This marks the first time in nearly 11 years that the veteran rockers have landed in the Top 10, following the Number Four debut of their last all-new studio album, Saints Of Los Angeles, in July 2008.

The 18-song soundtrack to The Dirt features a collection of Crue classics that underscore significant moments in the film. In addition to 14 fan favorites and classics such as “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Kickstart My Heart,” the set contains four new songs recorded by Motley Crue for the soundtrack. They include three originals and a cover of Madonna's “Like A Virgin.”

The Dirt, an adaptation of the glam rock band's memoir of the same name, premiered on Netflix two weeks ago after 15 years in development at three different studios. The streaming service launched the film to mostly negative critical reviews but a more positive response from fans. An accompanying soundtrack features four new songs from the band, who retired from touring in 2015.
