Only days after his initial North American shows were announced, Paul McCartney's upcoming "Freshen Up" tour has become an international affair with three UK dates now on the books. The just-announced December gigs will take place in the Beatles' legendary hometown of Liverpool, England; Glasgow, Scotland; and back to Britain for a London date.

McCartney said in the announcement publicizing the UK concerts: "There’s nothing like performing in front of your home crowd, especially when it’s been a while. I can’t wait to finish the year on such a high by partying in Liverpool, Glasgow and London. We’ve freshened up the show since our last time round and we are excited to get to play some of our new songs along side some of the favorites."

Brian Ray, McCartney's touring guitarist since 2002 is still amazed by his boss' onstage stamina: "We get a break, and he doesn't. He stands up there in front of the crowd for another, I don't know, 20 minutes more than we do, doing his solo bit in the middle. We get a break, and I am flattened by the end of the night!"

Paul McCartney's "Freshen Up" tour coincides with his new album, Egypt Station, due out on September 7th. Out now is a "Double A-Sided" sampler single from the set featuring the songs, "I Don't Know" and "Come On To Me."
