ADAM PARSONS ANNOUNCES FIRST ALBUM IN 15 YEARS: Alan Parsons has confirmed that he will be releasing his first album in 15 years in early 2019. According to UltimateClassicRock, the working title is The Secret. He said in a recent interview, "The writing and recording sessions are going incredibly well. The album already has a working title, which is The Secret, and it will include musical and lyrical themes that are very close to my heart and my own interests and passions. I do not really want to reveal a lot about it, except that for the moment everything that surrounds The Secret is going to be just that … a secret!" The project will be released early 2019. MASSIVE STAX RECORDS BOX SET TO INCLUDE EVERY 1968 SINGLE LABEL RELEASED: Stax Records is still to highlight its 1968 releases with a five disc box set entitled Stax '68: A Memphis Story. The box set will include songs from Otis Redding, the Staple Singers, Booker T. & the M.G.’s, Isaac Hayes, William Bell, and Rufus and Carla Thomas. The set -- which will feature 134 songs, will comprise every single, both A- and B-sides that the label and its sub-labels released in 1968. (Rolling Stone)
