Santana has just rolled out the dates for its European spring trek, dubbed the "Miraculous 2020 World Tour." Led by Carlos Santana, the jaunt will celebrate both the 20th anniversary of the groundbreaking, multiple Grammy-winning 1999 Supernatural album and the 50th anniversary of the band's 1970 masterpiece Abraxas.

The band will make stops in Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Hungry, Germany, Belgium, Scotland, Ireland, England, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Book-ending the overseas dates are Santana's Las Vegas residency performances at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

According to the tour announcement, "While Santana will highlight songs from both his Supernatural and Woodstock eras on the 'Miraculous 2020 World Tour,' he will also feature what he calls 'the new hymns and songs of tomorrow.'"

Of his many classic tunes, Carlos Santana told us he's yet to get tired of playing is his 1999 Grammy award-winning hit "Smooth," and says that he -- and the crowd -- never fail to find something new in the song night after night: "I'm very grateful that everywhere we play it brings something very celebratory. It validates not only the females, but the males as well. There is a need, especially at this time, for divine romance. Y'know, there's so much fear on this planet. As soon as you hear the song, you start dancing and celebrating. And although it talks about the relationship between a man and a woman, it basically talks about the relationship between us and the world."

We asked Carlos Santana what advice he would give to budding musicians launching their careers today: "Don't pay attention to the business. Pay attention to life. People need water. People need air. People need music. And if you're a good musician, if you play piano at Nordstrom's and they fire you because nobody buys anything when you're playing, because they're all looking at you? (laughter) -- that's a badge of honor (laughter)."
