The nightly jams between the Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton will form the basis of a new joint live album from the rock legends due out sometime next year. The pair of old friends, who are once again out on the road together all summer, have about a dozen live blues standards in the can culled from Frampton's guest spot during the Miller Band's set in which the two square off on some hard edged blues classics.

Steve Miller told us that both he and Frampton were aware immediately how well the mid-show teamups have been going down: "Jamming together has turned into a real interesting thing. We're putting a record together now, and we're adding more tunes to our jam. And I think we've got 12 different tracks done now. We're just having fun, y'know, it's an added bonus to the tour."
