Sting has tacked on a Philadelphia stop to his My Songs tour itinerary. The just-announced show is set for November 17th at The Met Philadelphia. General on sale tickets are set for this Friday, September 27th, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com.

Sting's latest album, titled My Songs, updates 15 of his solo and Police classics, featuring re-imagined takes of "Every Breath You Take," "Walking On The Moon," "Englishman In New York," "Demolition Man," "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You," and "Message In A Bottle," among others.

Sting has obviously been no stranger to hit singles and blockbuster albums, but admits that making music now holds a far different place in his life: "I make music to please myself. Whether it has legs or not doesn't detract from that, 'cause at the end of the day I can see what it's worth is by how I felt about it at the time, y'know? We always felt we had a good chance of this. There's a couple of things that sound like singles, y'know, and if I was 18 and in a boy band and I put those singles out, I'd feel very confident about it. The only thing that sort of holds it back is the fact that, y'know, the charts are dominated by teenage music, which isn't wrong."
