Only days after rolling out a 30-date "50th Anniversary Tour" itinerary for next year, the Doobie Brothers have just announced a further 27 shows. New stops now on the books include dates in Florida, New York, New Hampshire, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Idaho, Washington, California, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee -- and North of the border in London, Ontario.

The 2020 tour will feature Michael McDonald joining his former bandmates Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons, and John McFee for the dates marking McDonald's first full-scale tour with the Doobies in nearly 25 years.

As it stands now, the Doobies 2020 trek will kick off on June 9th in West Palm Beach at Coral Sky Amphitheatre and wrap on October 17th at Memphis' FedEx Forum.

Co-founder Tom Johnston still remembers what it felt like when the Doobie Brothers finally got their break coming out of San Jose, California nearly 50 years ago: "Thrilled to get any kind of success when all this started out. Nobody expected it to happen, I know I sure didn't. And the rest of us were pretty happy, making enough money to pay the rent and have a good time. Not that we didn't want to, we just really didn't expect it to happen so when it did, that was just all added glory or added good stuff; whatever you want to call it. I mean nobody expected that to happen so when it did and all of a sudden we're workin' on albums, everybody was, y'know, cloud nine."
