Nils Lofgren is hitting the road for string of full band dates this spring, according to Joining Lofgren on the road is his brother and fellow Grin bandmate Tom Lofgren on guitar and keyboards, Sessions Band and E Street Band backing vocalist Cindy Mizelle, bassist Kevin McCormick, and legendary drummer Andy Newmark.

Lofgren said of the upcoming dates, which will feature selections from his still-unnamed new album, “(I'm) excited to feature my new album, out before the tour, along with the best of 50 years on the road. (My wife) Amy and I worked together in our home with great musicians and we look forward to sharing this new music soon.”

Despite enjoying a four decade die-hard fan base, Lofgren told us that he's never considered his brand of music an easy fit for the general public: “I kinda feel like I really am at a spot now where I'm on my own. I feel like a bit of a pirate and maverick. In the industry, really, there's no place for me in it — yet, I'm, I think, making some of the best music (I ever have), and getting better at it. I'm certainly enjoying performing more than I ever have.”
