Todd Rundgren will publish his autobiography on December 21st, titled The Individualist: Digressions, Dreams And Dissertations. Rundgren, who is currently on the shortlist for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will tour behind the book in a specially designed multimedia show, with the North American dates starting on April 10th and 11th at Atlanta's Buckhead Theatre and running through May 12th and 13th at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts.

The new book is described in the official press release as being, “Over 240 pages of recollections, structured into bite-sized three paragraph chapters, about Rundgren's encounters with rock royalty including Janis Joplin, Brian Wilson, Ringo Starr, Patti Smith, the New York Dolls, Meat Loaf, and many more along with numerous photos never before published!”

Todd Rundgren told us that he needed to create a book that had an added element to it conceptually: “I wanted to write a book that I would like to read. And a lot of times people will, kind of, jumble all of their thoughts together in this kind of stream of consciousness way — as if you're replaying this recording, or something like that, and making a commentary about it (laughs) while it's playing. I wanted to be able to separate what I thought actually happening from any emotional responses I might've had to what was happening.” :
