Bad Company has announced U.S. tour dates -- including two appearances alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd and one with Cheap Trick. The tour lineup features original singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, but it doesn't seem like guitarist Mick Ralphs will be returning after suffering a stroke in 2016.
Last year, Kirke told, "The only information I have is that he has paralysis on his left side, which is all indications of the stroke. I don't really want to comment any further 'cause I don't know, but given his age, which is 72, the prognosis is not good. ... We pray for him and we wish him as best an outcome as is possible at that age. In terms of a career, it's not looking good for him, quite honestly."
He added that "you can never really close the door on this band. It's always going in some form or another. ... I think as long as Paul is singing and I'm playing drums, it's a credible Bad Company."

Former members of Dire Straits, including including keyboardist Alan Clark, percussionist Danny Cummings, saxophonist Mel Collins and guitarist Phil Palmer are hitting the road this fall under the name Dire Straits Legacy. According to RollingStone, The band will also be joined by Heartbreakers drummer Steve Ferrone and the BugglesTrevor Horn on bass along with Marco Caviglia on vocals and Primiano DiBiase on keyboards.
Clark and Collins said in a statement, "The DSL Dire Straits Legacy project was born from our love and respect for the music of Dire Straits, and to bring the music to fans who have been starved of hearing it played live by the musicians who made it, for far too long. Now, after many requests, we’re coming to the US! Along with all the Dire Straits hits, we’ll also be playing one or two songs from our new album 3 Chord Trick, and a couple of other tunes we’ve been involved with. See you there!"
