SPRING CLEANING IS NOT FUN!

Oscar Madison of The Odd Couple was my role model! I am not a good house keeper, it seems when I clean up one thing 2 things appear out of nowhere!  I have been volunteering and part of that effort has been to get a room cleaned up to prepare it for a small office...

GRAMMAR IS NOT YOUR MOTHER’S MOTHER

I had said this morning I would give you a health update! 2018 has been kind of rough so far.  2018 started fine for about 2 weeks.  Then one thing after another including the Flu, a sore back, a cold, and a nagging infection in my legs. I just have felt well for a...

INFLATION NEEDS TO BE DEFLATED

I think we can all say how much does that cost?  Well back when I was a kid gas only cost a buck a gallon, or a candy bar was 25 cents but look at the prices now!  A candy bar cost over a buck and you know the price of Gas.    DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THAT I MIGHT...

THE BEACH BOYS’ MIKE LOVE RELEASING SOLO CHRISTMAS ALBUM

Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love will release his first solo holiday set on October 26th, titled Reason For The Season. The album, which was first announced on Facebook, via The Beach Boys Opinion Page, features a dozen tracks — including a remake of the Beach Boys’ 1963 classic “Little Saint Nick,” “Finally It’s Christmas” — featuring Hanson, along with new material, and covers of such Christmas staples as “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “Must Be Christmas,” “O’ Come All Ye Faithful,” and “O’ Holy Night.”

Joining Love on the set are several of his children — Ambha, Hayleigh, Christian, and Brian Love — with the extended Love clan contributing under the moniker All Love. Mike Love’s team-up with Hanson marks the second time he and the former “boy band” have joined forces, having released a joint cover last month of the Beach Boys’ 1976 hit “It’s O.K.” .

Last year, Mike Love released second official solo album, the double-disc collection, Unleash The Love. The set features one album of all new material along with a second disc of updated Beach Boys classics — including “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “California Girls,” “I Get Around,” “Good Vibrations,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” along with the recent remake of “Do It Again” featuring John Stamos and Mark McGrath.

Mike Love explained how he and cousin Brian Wilson came up with the holiday favorite “Little Saint Nick”: “We just wanted to make up a little story about Santa has a hot-rod sled. It wasn’t exactly rocket science. It was just a cute little song. We’d been doing, you know, songs like ‘409’ and ‘Little Deuce Coupe,’ so let’s make up this little fairy tale about Santa with his sled he calls the Little Saint Nick.” at Modesto, California’s Gallo Center for The Arts.
