‘JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS’ It is the holiday season, People have already started shopping (My wife and I too). Christmas lights are starting to pop up on homes and stores. The Christmas sales began in ….. July and Christmas music is starting to be heard everywhere. I MEAN EVERYWHERE!
On Thursday I went to get my haircut, the lady who usually cuts my hair broke her ankle and can’t cut hair for another couple of weeks. My hair was long and really needed cut so I decided this once I would forgo my usual and get a haircut somewhere else. I am kind of glad I did. Not because of the stylist but for what happened afterward.
After my cut I decided to do a little shopping around and then I started hearing it. A little girl singing “JINGLE BELLS”, one cute problems she only knew a few lyrics. She sang over and over “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, and Jingle Bells. Everywhere I went I heard this sweet little girl singing ‘Jingle Bells”, it made my Grinch heart grow 4 sizes at least.
So this Holiday season remember I will remember that little girl and her beautiful little voice enjoying Christmas singing “JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS ,JINGLE BELLS ,JINGLE BELLS”.\
I could let this weekend go by without expressing my gratitude to our Veterans. I have always had the utmost respect for those who served. I was considering a life in the Service when I started doing radio. But I try to say thanks to Veterans every chance I get.
Several members of my family have served, including my Father and Uncle (his brother Edward) who was killed in France shortly after D-Day. My Uncle Brent and Uncle Danis also served along with 2 Brother in Laws. My admiration for these men is more than mere words can express. So Veterans in a small simple way I say Thank You.
