Singer-Songwriter John Prine couldn't be more over the moon with making the shortlist for next year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to Prine, the 2019 nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Todd Rundgren, Janet Jackson, Devo, Def Leppard, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J, Radiohead, MC5, Rage Against The Machine, Roxy Music, Rufus & Chaka Khan, and the Zombies. The final list will be rolled out in December.

Unlike some artists, who fight long and hard, cashing in industry favors and using their political clout to gain entry into the Hall, John Prime is happy just to be considered — and openly states at least one contender should get in before him this year: “I mean, they're great. The Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, all those things are pretty darn neat just to get nominated for. There's a lot of people that've been waiting years to get in. The nomination is good enough. Y'know, I haven't been nominated before in the particular organization, so, I don't know if I'll get in the first year, or not. I think the Zombies should go in before me.”
