I am seeing a growing trend that kind of surprises me. There appears to be people who don’t like Valentine’s Day. I know it is kind of hard not to have that special someone in your life on a day set aside to honor LOVE. I have been there and it is difficult. I had many relationships end just before Valentine’s but there was the good side. I GOT TO EAT THE ENTIRE BOX OF CHOCLATES!!!!! SCORE!
People are also calling February 14th Single Awareness day. That’s cool too.
But me I am really one of those who says it’s ok with me either way. My wife and I have spent the last 2 years be romantic anyway. The past two years that has been the day we got in the car and went out ……. To have our Taxes done. Yes I am a romantic guy after all.
Here are some interesting survey results about Valentine’s Day
The average person will only spend $34 total.
44% of people said they plan to spend NOTHING on Valentine’s Day this year.
The average guy plans to spend $41. Women will spend an average of $26.
Apparently money CAN buy you love, or at least it makes things easier. 90% of couples who earn at least $200,000 a year say they’re “completely” or “almost completely” satisfied with their relationship. That’s compared to just 64% of people who earn less than $30,000 a year.
54% of married people say they WON’T be going out to celebrate
13% of people say Valentine’s Day is their favorite holiday, according to a new survey. But 6% say they hate it . . . and 5% say it’s the MOST DEPRESSING day of the year.
For those who hate the day here is the Anti Valentines montage
The survey also found that 23% of single women and 7% of single men say they’re fine spending tomorrow with their DOG or CAT instead of another person.
Also, 23% of single people are planning to treat themselves to a nice dinner . . . 21% will watch romantic comedies . . . and 18% will buy themselves a gift.
Hey when I was single I always bought something for myself on Valentines, Christmas and my birthday. That’s the kind of guy I am.
