I AM STILL BITTER

Am I bitter, kinda, sorta, and kinda sorta almost?         It was 20 years ago like most of Utah and southern Idaho I was glued to the NBA Finals rooting for my beloved Utah Jazz to win game six against the Chicago Bulls and the greatest of all time Michael Jordan and...

‘ROD STEWART RADIO’ SET FOR LIMITED RUN ON SIRIUS XM

Following Billy Joel, Phish, Dave Matthews Band, and the Beach Boys, SiriusXM will roll out its exclusive 10-day limited run ‘Rod Stewart Radio’ on September 20th. Billboard reported the station will feature “hits, live songs, rarities, and B-sides — as well as exclusive stories from Stewart about his music, touring, and life.” The channel will feature classics from Rod’s days in the Jeff Beck Group, the Faces, on his own — as well as tracks from his new solo album Blood Red Roses, which is set for release on September 28th.

Rod Stewart maintained a separate solo career during his entire tenure with the Faces and scored massive solo hits during that period — including “Maggie May,” “Reason To Believe,” and “You Wears It Well,” among others. He maintains that he was always 100 percent committed to the Faces until their split in 1975: “When I was with the Faces, I wanted to stay with the Faces. But I had a feeling that Mick (Jagger) wanted Woody in the (Rolling Stones). Although, he said face-to-face to me, he said, ‘I’d never steal Ronnie (Wood) for the Stones,’ I knew that not to be true, ’cause I think Ronnie was made to be a Rolling Stone. And maybe we’d taken the bad as far as we could and it was a wonderful five or six years of drunkenness and silliness.”

Rod Stewart kicks off his next series of dates on October 14th in St. Paul, Minnesota at Xcel Energy Center.
