I GET ANNOYED

People who know me say I have a pretty even temperament.  I didn’t always, as a child I let my temper get away from me several times.  Then I realized something, I would rather let things roll off my back then to blow up all the time. That is not to say that I hold it...

NIKKI SIXX CONFIRMS NEW MOTLEY CRUE SONGS ARE FOR ‘THE DIRT’ MOVIE

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has confirmed that the band is recording four new songs for for the film adaptation of the group’s biography, The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band. The movie, which is being helmed by Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa director Jeff Tremaine, was picked up by Netflix after being previously developed at Focus Features and before that at Paramount.

Asked on Twitter by a fan how the new music will fit into a movie about the band’s past, Sixx responded, “You can trust us these are ball-busters. Everybody can relax. We’re soon gonna smack you upside the head with some killer new tracks. Bob Rock is producing. It’s our movie. We know what we’re doing.”

Sixx’s confirmation came more than two weeks after a picture of him and Crue drummer Tommy Lee in the studio with Rock surfaced online. Crue singer Vince Neil then tweeted late last week that he was “going back in recording studio in a few weeks” with his bandmates to lay down his vocals on the group’s new songs.

There is no release date yet for either The Dirt or the new music from the film. The Crue’s last full studio album was 2008’s Saints Of Los Angeles, with the group staging a farewell tour in 2014 and 2015 that it promised would mark the end of the band as a live act.
