THE MOODY BLUES’ JOHN LODGE ROLLS OUT FALL CLUB DATES

Moody Blues bassist John Lodge has just announced an eight-date sting of fall U.S. dates. The 2018 Rock and Roll hall of Fame inductee is touring in support of his new recent collection, John Lodge: Live From Birmingham — The 10,000 Light Years Tour. Lodge is best known for writing such Moodies classics as “Ride My See-Saw” and “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band),” among others.

Lodge kicks the run off on October 12th in Nashville, Tennessee at The Barns at City Winery and winds things down on October 23rd in Arlington, Massachusetts at Regent Theatre. Along the way, he’ll be making stops in Washington, DC; Sellersville, Pennsylvania; Plymouth, New Hampshire; Norfolk, Connecticut; and Greenwich, Rhode Island.

John Lodge said in the tour announcement: “Music is my life and I can’t wait to get on the road with my 10,000 Light Years Band. The venues are smaller and more intimate, but I love live concerts ‘have bass will travel’ that’s the gypsy in me. I’ll always be a Moody Blue, but I love getting the chance to perform songs that I have never performed before, and of course classic Moody Blue songs. The fans and I have traveled this road a long time and I also hope new fans will discover and explore along with us.”

John Lodge told us that when you get the chance to cover the U.S. the way the Moodies have over the decades, it’s hard not to fall in love with America: “It’s nice to get the opportunity to go and see so many different places. I mean, we’ve obviously seen more of America than I would think 99.9 percent of Americans, y’know? And America’s a beautiful country, and there’s so much available for people to see, so diverse in everything you could ever think of, y’know? So when you’re touring, it’s really nice to see somewhere, do a concert and think, ‘I’m gonna come back one day and go and have a look at this in my own time.'” :
