James Corden teased in a tweet that, as previously reported, Paul McCartney will be appearing in a segment of "Carpool Karaoke" filmed in Liverpool next week on CBS' The Late Late Show. Corden posted a photo of him and McCartney hugging in his tweet, stating: "It’s happening!#CarpoolKaraoke with @PaulMcCartney premieres next week during our four nights in London!"

Among the numerous musicians that have taken part in the "Carpool Karaoke" sketch over the years have included Elton John, Rod Stewart, Madonna, Foo Fighters, Adele, Pink, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Lopez, One Direction, Usher, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, and Kelly Clarkson, among others.

  • Paul McCartney says that like the rest of us, he's still astonished at the legacy the Beatles have left behind: "Y'know, I'm very proud of everything we did with the Beatles, uh . . . In truth, looking back, I kinda can't believe it, 'cause we were just working each day, year-in, year-out, making records. Now that it's over -- the Beatles is a body of work now. So I can look back on it now dispassionately and just judge it for what it is, and I think it's fine. I'm kind of amazed we did it."
