• Robbie Robertson will release Sinematic, his first new album since 2011 on September 20th. The album features collaborations with Van Morrison, Glen Hansard, Citizen Cope, J.S. Ondara, Howie B., Jim Keltner, Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhall II, and others. The album is available now for preorder on CD, digital, and 180-gram two-LP, with a Deluxe Edition, limited to 1000 copies to follow on October 25th.   • Just released is the trailer to the new documentary, Linda Ronstadt: The Sound Of My Voice. The doc, which premiered earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival, scored the Documentary Audience Award at the Provincetown International Film Festival. The Sound Of My Voice will have a brief theatrical run in September before debuting later this year on CNN. (Deadline)

  • Out now is the animated video for "Holly Rock," the second single from the posthumous Prince album, Originals. The track was originally written and recorded for Sheila E. in April 1985 at L.A.'s Sunset Sound studios -- the very same week that Prince also recorded the chart-topping "Kiss" for his own Parade album.   • America's Gerry Beckley has just released the second single from his new solo album, Five Mile Road, which will be released on September 20th. Beckley, who's currently out on the road with America, spoke about the new track, "Home Again," telling Best Classic Bands: "'Home Again' is both the oldest and the newest song on the album. It was originally started in the mid-'70s but it was never completed until a few weeks before the mastering of this album.
