Dave Grohl's biggest fan, 10-year-old Nandi Bushell, has written an original theme song for the Foo Fighters frontman in response to him writing a performing a theme song for her recently. Bushell posted the song on social media writing in part, “Mr Grohl. The song you wrote for me was truly, truly EPIC! You really are LEGENDARY! I wrote a song for you to say THANK YOU! I made up and played all the instrument parts myself, just like you! It’s called ‘ROCK and GROHL, The EPIC Battle’! I hope you love my song, as much as I love your song for me! Whoever wins this round, it’s been an HONOUR to battle you. The Rock Gods of old are happy! Thank you @davestruestories and @foofighters”
Bushell is referring to the battle rounds she and Grohl have engaged in over the last couple of months.
Bushell caught Grohl's attention on social media when she shared a video of herself playing Foo Fighters' “Everlong” and challenging Grohl to a drum battle. He responded by playing Them Crooked Vultures‘ “Dead End Friends” and extended the challenge to her. She did, and Grohl admitted defeat and wrote and performed a theme song for Bushell called “Superhero.”
