Judas Priest has cancelled its 2020 tour — but has begun rolling out dates for 2021, according to Rolling Stone. The band posted a statement, which reads, “We have every intention of adding more shows and cities to our 50th-anniversary tour in the fall of 2021 — as soon as we have the new dates finalized, we will announce them.”
Priest was originally set to kick off its 2020 dates on September 11th in Uniondale, New York, with the 11-date trek running through October 11th in Salt Lake City, Utah. As it stands now, the band will launch its 2021 tour on September 13th in Charlotte, North Carolina at PNC Music Pavilion, with the dates winding down on October 30th in Ledyard, Connecticut at Foxwoods Casino Arena.
Frontman Rob Halford told us a while back that Priest wouldn't have sustained such a lengthy career without the support of their fans: “It's an ongoing metal love affair that's been solid and kept us going and motivated, quite frankly. Bands don't exist without the people that support them, and so it is with Priest, y'know? Without our fans we're nothing, so we love our fans dearly, and we do as much as we can to keep that bond strong and solid.”
