NEIL YOUNG ROLLS OUT TRACKLISTING FOR 10-DISC ‘ARCHIVES VOLUME 2: 1972-1976’ BOX

Neil Young's upcoming 10-disc Archives Volume 2: 1972-1976 box set will be released on November 30th. The package will only be available via the official NeilYoungArchives.com site, and features a wealth of material spanning from just after the release of 1972's Harvest through Young and Crazy Horse's 1976 Eurasian tour. Pre-orders for the set begin on October 16th.

Rolling Stone reported, “The package has 12 songs that have never been released before this in any format as well as 50 previously unreleased versions of songs.” Among the endless highlights on the set are found on the disc titled, Look Out For My Love, which features material originally earmarked for the scrapped 1974 Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young reunion album, Human Highway.

The set also features both new and live versions of Tonight’s The Night, a disc called Dume, which covers the 1975 Zuma sessions, and much more.

Neil Young explained what Crazy Horse brings to him as a songwriter and a musician: “They make me play better and I've known them for so long, they make me play better when I play with them. It's just a certain kind of music I play great with Crazy Horse. It's more free. Crazy Horse is a very simple sound, it's mostly emotional and not very technical — so, I like that. 'Gives me a chance to expresses myself.”
