NEW DEEP PURPLE VIDEO RELEASED

Over the weekend, Deep Purple released the official music video for the song “Nothing At All.” The track is taken from the band's latest album, Whoosh!, which was released in August.

In a recent interview, singer Ian Gillan talked about the new album and said, “I feel like we're back in the '70s. There's this energy that’s quite fascinating to me. How does it feel? It feels good because we had a lot of fun making this record.”

The band spent about 6 days in Germany and then went on to Nashville for two and half weeks where they did the writing and arrangements. Gillan rented a cottage near the Grand Ole Opry and said he could “hear the music floating from across the river until the early hours of the morning.” Then he would sit up all through the night and write in what he called a “magical atmosphere.”

Deep Purple’s producer, Bob Ezrin lives in Nashville and has a studio there. Gillan said that made it a “practical” place to work.
