- Neil Young's battle with Donald Trump is far from over. In response to the President brazen use Young's material at his campaign events, Young has released his recently re-worked version of his 2006 tune, “Looking For A Leader” to streaming services. The song, which was revamped for his recent online “Fireside Session,” has been retitled, “Looking For A Leader 2020.”
- Young's new lyrics read in part: Yeah, we had Barack Obama and we really need him now/The man who stood behind him has to take his place somehow/America has a leader building walls around our house/He don’t know black lives matter and we got to vote him out. (Rolling Stone)
- Robert Plant has released the first single from his upcoming solo compilation, Digging Deep: Subterranea, due out on October 2nd. The new track, “Charlie Patton Highway (Turn It Up – Part 1),” was originally intended for the unreleased second Band Of Joy album. (Ultimate Classic Rock)
- A new, definitive book on prog giants Emerson, Lake, & Palmer is set for publication on October 30th.
