R.E.M., HAYLEY WILLIAMS LEND COVER SONGS TO CHARITY ALBUM

R.E.M., Hayley Williams, and Death Cab For Cutie are a few of the artists who have contributed previously unreleased cover songs to a compilation album called Good Music To Avert The Collapse Of American Democracy. The project comes out on Friday (Sept. 4th), and all net proceeds will benefit Fair Fights, a voting rights organization.

The 40-song collection features R.E.M. singing “Begin The Begin” which was recorded live in Hampton, VA in 1989; Hayley Williams singing “Colour Me In”; and Death Cab For Cutie's take on “The New Year,” which was recorded live in Seattle, WA this year.
