UPCOMING SCORPIONS BOX SET TO INCLUDE A PIECE OF THE BERLIN WALL

In celebration of its classic 1990 song, “Wind Of Change,” the Scorpions are releasing a deluxe box set based around the song on October 3rd. The beloved power ballad, which appeared on the band's Crazy World album, has been called “the soundtrack to the fall of the Berlin Wall.”

The new Wind Of Change box set features five versions of of the song — including Klaus Meine's original demo — on CD and LP. The collection also includes and 84-page hardcover book, with rare and previously unseen photographs, vocal and piano arrangement, and even a piece of the Berlin Wall.

Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine said in a statement:

In times of COVID-19 and all the wild conspiracy theories in these extremely trying times, 'Wind of Change' is like a hug, a good friend from a time when the hope for a peaceful world seemed to be fulfilled. The dream of peace lives on in this song.

Klaus Meine told us not too long ago, that the Scorpion's ultimate legacy is that their music now spans several generations: “It was not only the fans who grew up with our music in the '80s, but there were a lot of kids, also — like, 16, 17, 18-year-olds — singing 'Blackout' and 'Rock You Like A Hurricane.' And it was just great to see that our music obviously has the power to cross over to a new generation.”
